I · The Welcome
We are Scott and Mary Piazza, and together with our family, we would like to welcome you to Casa Piazza. Like many of our guests, we fell in love with the small oceanfront gated community of La Punta the moment we arrived.
Its lush tropical setting, ocean breezes, open spaces, and authentic Mexican charm captured our hearts — and inspired us to create a place where family and friends could gather year after year.
II · The Vision
Working alongside Italian designer Paolo Crescini for more than three years, we set out to create a home that reflected our love of relaxed outdoor living.
The result is Casa Piazza — a warm and unpretentious blend of Mediterranean and Mexican influences, designed around one simple idea.

III · Casa Piazza Today
Casa Piazza offers more than 5,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor living space — five king-bedroom suites with private balconies, a heated tiled swimming pool, multiple lounging areas, an open-air dining pavilion, and our rooftop palapa with panoramic ocean views, a wet bar, dining area, jacuzzi, massage space, and outdoor shower.
Throughout the property you'll find tropical gardens, quiet places to relax, and gathering spaces designed for everything from intimate family dinners to larger celebrations.
IV · Designed for Connection
Every part of Casa Piazza was designed to encourage connection — gathering around the main dining table, spending the afternoon by the pool, enjoying sunset cocktails on the rooftop palapa, or sharing stories under the stars.
Our hope has always been that guests leave with memories that last a lifetime.
V · Something We Never Anticipated
Around 2000, after many years of sharing our home with family and friends, we began opening Casa Piazza to nonprofit organizations and their supporters. Mary had spent many years leading charitable events in the San Francisco Bay Area, and together we saw an opportunity to use our home in a meaningful way.
We have welcomed leaders, donors, and volunteers from causes we care deeply about. We've watched friendships grow around our dining table, celebrated successes, and played a small role in helping worthwhile causes bring people together. Many have returned year after year, becoming part of the extended Casa Piazza family.

VI · The Heart of Casa Piazza
While we are proud of the home we have built, the true heart of Casa Piazza is not the architecture, the pool, the rooftop palapa, or even the ocean views.
Led by Maria, alongside Jaime, Esmeralda, Ramon, and the rest of our remarkable team, they have become part of our family over many years. We have always believed in treating our staff like family — their dedication, warmth, and genuine care shape the experience our guests enjoy.

VII · From the Kitchen
More than any other corner of the house, this is where the day gathers — long lunches that drift into the afternoon, and candlelit dinners that run late into the night. Chef Esmeralda's meals, drawn from local ingredients and family traditions, are the reason no one leaves the table.

Cava de Tequila
Tucked beneath the house, the cava de tequila keeps a collection of fine tequilas and mezcals close at hand — a cool, low-lit room of brick and old wood, made for tastings, unhurried conversation, and a toast to the day.
VIII · Rest
Every bedroom opens to a private balcony and the sound of the sea — quiet rooms to return to at the end of a long, golden day.
In the end
Guests often arrive expecting to remember the beautiful home — the rooftop sunsets, the pool, the views. They certainly do.
